You'll also learn to make a classic vodka sauce which brings the whole dish together. All proceeds will be donated to Soul Fire Farm, a BIPOC*-centered community farm committed to ending racism and injustice in the food system.

Virtual Pasta Class with Two Knives and a Pan

Tuesday 8/25 6:00-7:30pm
All proceeds donated to The Black Feminist Project

Join Mia from Mostly Pasta and myself for an online cooking class where you’ll cook alongside us to make a complete dinner.

All proceeds from this class will be donated to The Black Feminist Project, a NYC-based collective that uses food and reproductive justice programming to educate and empower young women of color. They run a food box program that offers meal boxes to black womxn affected by COVID as well as teaching urban farming through their volunteer and apprenticeship programs.

First, I’ll teach a quick recipe for Green Gazpacho, the perfect summer appetizer or lunch. Then Mia will walk you through making and shaping your own homemade pasta with a creamy comforting sauce. No special equipment is needed.

  • Green Gazpacho

  • Fresh Orecchiette with Sweet Peas, Pancetta, and Goat Cheese (vegetarian adaptations are available)

Kids welcome! We will be practicing our knife skills and tackling some introductory kitchen skills that are perfect for all ages.

Ingredient list to be distributed in confirmation email. Tickets are Pay-What-You-Wish for this fundraiser class and are per device so feel free to have anyone from your household join in!
